Amsterdam NY Car Accident, 4 individuals died after car crash in Glenville on Sunday

Amsterdam NY Car Accident – A tragic car crash on Amsterdam Road early Sunday morning killed all four people in the vehicle, according to the Glenville Police Department.

The community is in a state of shock and grief following the accident that occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m.

Authorities said a 2022 Honda Accord lost control while going east on State Route 5 (Amsterdam Road) close to Waters Road. The vehicle veered off the south side of the road, went airborne, crashed into multiple trees, and then came to a stop in a ditch.

The four people in the car tragically lost their lives as a result of the impact. Authorities are withholding the names of the victims, which comprised one girl and three males, until they have notified the families of the victims.

The incident is now under active investigation by the Glenville Police Department. The authorities are working hard to find out what happened that caused the crash, but they haven’t found out what caused it yet. To aid in the investigation, autopsies will be performed by the Schenectady County Medical Examiner on Sunday afternoon.

Police have stated that they have received anonymous tips indicating that there might be video evidence from another car that recorded the collision, in an effort to obtain further details. The police are making a public plea for any tips that could help them in their investigation.
