About Anne Linaberger
Anne Linaberger was a proud graduate of Penn Hills High School and Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Anne’s career in broadcasting began in the 1980s as a reporter at WDTV in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
In the early 1990s, she joined WTAE-TV and WTAE Radio in Pittsburgh, where she served first as a reporter and later as an executive producer. In 1998, she took on a new role at KDKA-TV, where she became the executive producer for special projects before advancing to news director. Anne remained with KDKA until 2018, when she transitioned to reporting for a local media startup, Sparkt.
Beyond her on-air contributions, Anne was also dedicated to the industry through her work with the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Chapter, where she served as a governor and co-chair of the Awards Committee. As of 2024, she was vice president of a media training and consulting firm in Pittsburgh, continuing to shape and support the field she loved.
The Emmy Chapter asked that Anne’s family, including her husband Tom, her son JT, and all those who knew and cherished her, be kept in the public’s thoughts. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her work, mentorship, and friendship in Pittsburgh and beyond.
