Ashley Gleason Maine Death, Scarborough High School alumna died at age 27

Scarborough High School alumna Ashley Gleason of Maine has sadly passed away. She died on Sunday 22nd September 2024 at the age of 27 leaving those who knew her in shock.

The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of Ashley Gleason’s death has not been released by the family at the time this report was made.

Ashley Gleason Birth and Education
Born on August 24, 1997, in Portland, Maine, Ashley Gleason was a beacon of joy and compassion in the lives of those who knew her.

Raised by her loving parents, Lisa Venditti and Christopher Gleason, Ashley’s journey began in a family that valued connection and support. She graduated from Scarborough High School in 2015, where she not only excelled academically but also shone as an athlete.

Ashley continued her education at the University of Maine at Farmington, dedicating four years to both her studies and her passion for sports. Her infectious laugh and wicked sense of humor drew people in, allowing her to forge deep friendships that spanned various communities.

Whether she was skiing at Sugarloaf, lobstering in Casco Bay, or playing on her athletic teams, Ashley’s kindness and energy resonated with everyone she met.

As a devoted sister, daughter, niece, and granddaughter, Ashley’s love for her family was evident in all she did. She balanced her dedication to sportswhere she showcased remarkable talent in soccer, softball, and skiing—with her commitment to caring for those around her.

Her passion for athletics was matched only by her unwavering support for her favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees, a bond she cherished with her father.

Ashley is survived by her mother Lisa Venditti and Father Christopher Gleason who both loved her fiercely. She is also survived by her brothers Zachary and Tyler Chaisson, Step-Father David Venditti, sisters Sophia Venditti Meagan Johnson and Isabelle Gleason and Step-Mother Andrea Brown Gleason, her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins and of course her beloved cat George.

Visiting Hours will be held Friday, September 27 from 4:00-7:00 PM with a Memorial Service Saturday, September 28 at 12:00 PM at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 US Route One, in Scarborough, Maine.
