Atlanta High School Shooting: 4 students at Benjamin E Mays High School shot outside campus
Police have confirmed that four students were shot at an Atlanta high school.
The incident occurred shortly after dismissal, with shots fired from an unidentified vehicle, hitting four students at the Benjamin E. Mays High School lower campus parking lot,” as stated by the district in a statement.
Upon arriving at the scene, witnesses observed a significant police presence, crime scene tape cordoning off the parking lot, and apparent evidence markers present.
All victims were taken to the hospital and their injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening.
There were no additional injuries reported among students, faculty, or staff.
The district stated that the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Police and parents are being assisted as they arrive to pick up their children.
