Giving Kitchen released a statement announcing his death, saying, “We share the news of the passing of our dear friend, longtime supporter, and Giving Kitchen Board Chair, Bill Brewster with a heavy heart.” We are startled and very saddened by his abrupt and unexpected demise.

Bill Brewster specializes in trademark, unfair competition, and deceptive advertising litigation. Starting in 2001, Mr. Brewster served as managing partner of Kilpatrick Townsend for six years.
He was a managing partner after chairing the IP Department, which provided him with a unique mid-career first-hand understanding of clients and their businesses in addition to the legal sector.
He was co-chair of the 100-lawyer Trademark & Copyright Team and currently sits on the firm’s pro bono committee. For fourteen years, Mr. Brewster was an adjunct professor of trademark law at Emory University School of Law and taught ethics at the University of Virginia School of Law.
