Bobby Solomon Obituary – Bobby Glynn Solomon, 71, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, went Home to enjoy the deeper joys January 8, 2025, after fighting for his life for several months.
He sustained a brain injury while cleaning up trees on family property in Coffee County, Georgia after Hurricane Helene.
He was married 49 ΒΌ years to his “favorite wife” Regina Fisher Solomon and was blessed by his “favorite daughter and son-in-law”, Jessie and Daniel Fox, currently residing in Argentina.
He is also survived by his “favorite brother” Butch Solomon (Lanita) of Knoxville, Tennessee and his “favorite sister” Janet Calhoun (Charlie) of Fernandina Beach. He was son of the late Doc and Evelyn Solomon of Alma, Georgia.
After graduating from Bacon County High School in Alma, Bob attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta and later got his MBA from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He worked in companies in Atlanta, Houston, Colorado Springs, San Francisco, Birmingham, and Denver during his career. He moved from Colorado to Fernandina Beach in 2012 when he retired after being the Vice President of American Oil & Gas Company in Denver.
Bob was a well loved member of First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach and on the Building Committee. He was an active member on the board of Fernandina Beach Christian Academy.
Bob loved spending time with family and friends, photography, fishing, kayaking, hunting, hiking, working on “the farm”, and skiing in Colorado.
Bob will be most remembered by his loved ones for his smile, kindness, generosity, selflessness, loyalty and example of a Godly man. His legacy will continue on in the many lives he personally touched.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church (1600 South 8th Street, Fernandina Beach) at 1:58pm Saturday, January 11, 2025.
A visitation will be held at Crosby Funeral Home in Alma, Georgia Sunday, January 12, 2025 3:00-5:00pm.
A private burial will be held for family only (Monday, January 13)
