Brandon Pappas Obituary, 24-year-old Suspect from Palm Bay Florida and victim died in Police-involved shooting
Brandon Pappas Obituary: Law enforcement agencies say two Palm Bay police officers were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in an incident that left a suspect and a victim dead Sunday evening, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.
Preliminary investigations determined that the officers were responding to a report of a domestic dispute at a home in the area of Lexington and Americana in Northeast Palm Bay.
Palm Bay Police Department identified the suspect involved in the officer-involved shooting as 24-year-old Brandon Pappas.
“After firing at our officers and injuring them, he then fled the area, and we pursued him, We pursued him to ensure our citizens were safe and will remain and continue to be safe. And our officers did what they were trained to do, and that’s to neutralize and stop a threat to our community,” Chief of Police Mariano Augello said during a press conference
Law enforcement agencies say the identity of the victim and the two officers involved in the incident will not revealed immediately.
According to the investigating department, the injured officers are expected to recover and are being treated at Palm Bay Hospital and Regional Hospital. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement are continuing to investigate the incident.
