Burwood Stabbing Investigations – Man, woman found dead in murder-suicide at Burwood apartment complex
NSW Police launched an investigation after the remains of a man and woman were recovered at the Burwood apartment complex.
A man and woman’s bodies were discovered inside an apartment complex in Sydney’s inner west, and police are investigating a possible murder-suicide. Police say the woman was found with multiple stab wounds.
After 9:45 a.m. on Monday, emergency personnel were called to the courtyard of a building on Conder Street in Burwood due to complaints of a welfare issue.
Police arrived at the area and discovered a man’s body. He has yet to be formally identified. Following investigations, officers investigated a unit in the building and discovered the body of a lady with stab wounds.
A crime scene was set up at the complex, followed by another at the unit. According to police sources, detectives are looking into whether the case is murder-suicide, but they are not ruling out alternative possibilities. It is unclear what the man and woman’s connection was. Police are anticipated to deliver an update around 4 p.m.
