dhillusmc: Heartbroken 💔 to learn of Chris Wade husband, father of 4, Navy Football Brotherhood teammate, fellow LB, Marine Officer, and one hell of a great American who lost his bout to cancer this morning. Just last month I got a chance to give him a big hug and laugh on Nov 17 at his 20-year reunion.

I had a great deal of respect for Chris the first day I met him. He was a nasty Linebacker who loved his teammates and was the epitome of who you wanted by your side in a fight. Chris’s legacy extends far beyond the football field and the Marine Corps. He was a devoted husband and a proud father of four, cherishing every moment spent with his family. His impact on his community, teammates, and those inspired by his art will continue to be felt for years to come.

Chris Wade was not only a teammate and a Marine but also, as many have said, “one hell of a great American.” His life serves as a testament to the power of perseverance, creativity, and love. While his loss leaves a deep void, his memory will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

The Wade family, along with Chris’s extended Navy and Marine Corps communities, mourn the loss of a true hero. Memorial details and ways to honor his legacy will be shared by his family in the coming days.

Rest in peace, Chris Wade. Your light will never fade.
