Christopher M. Baines Accident – The victim in a fatal Weisenberg Township single-vehicle accident Tuesday has been identified as a 58-year-old township man, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
The deceased has been identified as Christopher M. Baines. He was pronounced dead shortly after 2 p.m. at the scene. Baines died from multiple blunt force injuries due to the crash and the manner was ruled accidental, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said.
The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. in the 8000 block of Holbens Valley Road — near Weisenberg Church Road — in Weisenberg Township, authorities said. Baines was the driver of a vehicle that for an unknown reason, left the roadway and struck a tree, authorities said.
