Cody Sorenson Death – Columbia Falls PRCA and PBR bull rider Cody Sorenson has sadly passed away. He died on Wednesday 17th January 2024 at the age of 24. He was confirmed dead through a publication that says “I find myself reflecting on the life of my son, Cody, a man who managed to capture my heart and everyone else’s in a way not many could. He was a soul filled with wanderlust, always seeking the next adventure”. The actual cause of Cody Sorenson’s death has not been revealed.
Cody Sorenson Birth and Early Life
Columbia Falls, Montana was Cody’s home during his childhood. He was born on March 29, 1999, to Bilynda Eden Anderson (Jassman) and William Richard Sorenson. While at school, he began to build the groundwork for his future and began on a path of self-discovery.
From his early days as a spectator to his later years as a full-fledged competitor, Cody’s passion for the rodeo was unwavering. He rode to the pinnacle of the PRCA and PBR bull riding circuits thanks to his extraordinary dedication and natural talent. After leaving the ring, Cody’s wanderlust drove him to adopt a nomadic lifestyle and see the world.
He had a passion for Mountain man shooting, a sport that spoke to his sense of adventure, and it wasn’t limited to the rodeo. The excitement of rodeos and shooting contests weren’t the only things that Cody enjoyed doing. He took comfort in reaching the summits of mountains and fishing in the crystal clear lakes that dot their landscapes. But his deepest love came to light when he learned how to tan hides; it showed a part of him that went beyond the exhilarating thrills of his other hobbies.

Cody is survived by his wife, Molly Sorenson; daughter, Eleanore Josefine Rose Sorenson; mother, Bilynda Jassman; step-father, Chad Jassman; father, William R. Sorenson, step-mother, Angela Reeves; brother, Tyler David Anderson; paternal grandparents, Greg & Sue Sorenson; maternal grandparents, Al & Lana Luxford; step brothers: Bryden and Kayden Jassman, Dakota Reeves; step sister Kiara Reeves; his Panda German Shepherd, Maverick; his horse, Outlaw, his Ranch Family and Friends, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cody is preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Arnold & Noreen Sorenson, and Edna Ostdiek; and maternal grandfather, Billy Edgar Anderson, Sr.
A celebration of Cody’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2024 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 401 7th Street West, Columbia Falls, MT 59912. Family and friends may begin to visit on Monday starting at 10:00 a.m.
