Cranbourne Stabbing: Man hurt in knife attack, Mornington and Carrum Downs women charged in carjacking in Melbourne’s south-east
After an aggravated carjacking and stabbing incident in Melbourne’s southeast on Sunday night, a man was taken to the hospital with potentially fatal injuries. The 35-year-old man from Clyde North was attacked, according to police, by two women close to a row of stores on Lurline Street in Cranbourne.
It is believed that about 9.40 p.m., the two women made an unsuccessful attempt to carjack a woman on nearby Sladen Street. After that, the couple is accused of going up to the man, stabbing him, stealing his car, and then driving it to Pakenham.
The man had injuries that could have killed him, so he was taken to the hospital. Not long later, both women were taken into custody. Two women, one from Carrum Downs and the other from Mornington, both 33, are being questioned by police regarding the incident.
