CSU Lockdown Today:- On October 16, Colorado State University (CSU) issued updates regarding police activity on the Main Campus, urging community members not to contact police dispatch unless it was an emergency.
Details of the ongoing investigation were to be posted on the university’s safety website rather than through dispatch.
Earlier in the day, police were investigating near Laurel Village and advised individuals to avoid the area to aid their efforts. Residents of Durward Hall, Corbett Hall, and Laurel Village were informed they could resume normal activities once safety concerns were addressed.
Prior to that, community members were instructed to stay in their rooms for safety. There were unconfirmed reports on social media suggesting a possible suicide on campus. Overall, the university emphasized a proactive approach to ensure safety during the situation.
Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
