Dan Harbaugh St. Louis MO Death:- Dan Harbaugh, the cherished husband of Kelly Harbaugh (née Bahan) and devoted father to Libby and Jack Harbaugh, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the age of 64.
He was the son of the late Stephen and Eileen Harbaugh and the brother of Steve (Glenda), Pat Coppinger, Mark, and the late Kathy Fitzgerald. Dan was also a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Dan took immense pride in his graduation from St. John Vianney High School, often having Jack and Libby salute the school whenever they drove by. In 2023, he was honored as a Hall of Fame member.
His commitment was evident in his service on the PAL Board, and he was honored as “Man of the Year” by both the Men’s Group Against Cancer and the Italian Open Charities. He was also a dedicated parishioner at St. Raphael the Archangel, with a special affection for the Men’s Club.
Throughout his 40-year career, Dan devoted himself to improving the lives of children and families through Big Brothers Big Sisters and, for over 30 years, the Ronald McDonald House, which he held in great esteem. He often described his job as the “easiest in the world” because of the wonderful colleagues, volunteers, and friends who made his work profoundly fulfilling.
Dan frequently reflected on his incredible life, his rewarding career, and his extensive network of friends with deep gratitude. He likened himself to George Bailey, “the richest man in town,” and we wholeheartedly agree that he truly was.
