Darean Davis Ferndale MI Death – A kid from the Ferndale school district was slain outside of the Michigan State Fair in what the police have described as a gunshot that resulted from an argument.
As a result, the schools in the area are raising their level of protection. Sixteen shots were fired from a parking lot located southwest of the fair on Saturday, causing spectators to flee in panic. One of the victims, a fourteen-year-old boy, was killed, and another fourteen-year-old was injured.
It was revealed in a letter sent to parents across the whole school district that the deceased adolescent was identified as Darean Davis, a sophomore at University High School.
Officials stated that the injured youngster remained in the hospital in stable condition while Novi police continued their efforts to find a suspect on Monday.
At approximately ten o’clock in the evening, initial reports had incorrectly stated that there was an active shooter. A number of individuals were most likely engaged in a physical confrontation when someone opened fire, according to the Novi Police Department.
There is a possibility that the fight was caused by an altercation that took place in other towns throughout the week, as detailed by the department in a statement.
The adolescents were passengers in an Uber that made stops in Detroit and Farmington Hills before arriving at the Suburban Collection Showplace on Saturday night. According to the Novi police department, the teens were from Detroit.
