Brynn Courville Death – Two people were killed in a horrific incident on US Highway 93 close to Evaro. Four automobiles were involved in the event, which happened at mile marker 5 on January 3, 2025, at 3:56 p.m.
The collision involved a Chrysler Town & Country, a GMC Sierra, an International MV607, and a DS 379.
The incident started when the DS 379’s trailer jackknifed, spinning the car around and swerving into oncoming traffic. When the DS 379 struck the GMC Sierra, its occupants suffered fatal injuries.
The trailer unjackknifed and spun the DS 379 back off the road when the International MV607’s driver tried to halt and struck it. The DS 379’s trailer was then hit by the Chrysler Town & Country.
The GMC Sierra’s driver and a female passenger perished. A 19-year-old male from Columbia Falls, Montana, was the driver. The identity of the two people in the car, together with the passenger’s age and place of residence, were not made public. Neither passenger had on a seat belt.
One of the victims was identified as Brynn Courville of Ronan, Montana.
The 52-year-old Winner, South Dakota, driver of the DS 379 suffered unspecified injuries. Both the driver of the Chrysler Town & Country, a 55-year-old Ronan native, and the driver of the International MV607, a 26-year-old Ronan native, were unharmed. They were both buckled up.
Investigating the causes of this accident is a priority for the Montana Highway Patrol. The collision was exacerbated by the wet, icy, and slushy road conditions at the time. It is not believed that speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the tragedy.
