Carson Dickson Austin TX Accident – A 25-year-old Austin resident Carson Dickson, who was involved in a severe ATV accident during the holiday season, is set to be removed from life support.
The accident, which occurred just days before Christmas, left Carson with life-threatening injuries that necessitated her immediate airlift to one of the premier trauma centers in the region.
Carson’s ordeal began when she suffered critical injuries in the ATV mishap, leading to her being declared brain dead after extensive medical evaluation.
Despite the grim medical prognosis, her family rallied around her, seeking what they described as a divine miracle. Carson’s sister, Vicki Dickson, took to social media to share the family’s plight, asking for prayers and belief in a recovery that only a higher power could facilitate.
Vicki’s heartfelt plea read, “On Saturday, my 25-year-old sister (Carson) was in a terrible ATV accident. She was life-flighted to one of the top trauma hospitals where, over the past 48+ hours, has undergone multiple tests and scans that show no activity in her brain.”
She continued to express their faith, hoping for a miracle, “The miracle we are asking for specifically is that of which only our God can do- and we believe it can be done, in Jesus’ name! On earth as it is in Heaven. We are giving our girl more time, the time that she deserves. His work is not done. We are fighting and asking that our village continues to do the same. Please don’t stop praying. Round up all your prayer warriors. Thank you again- we love you all!!”
After days of holding onto hope and exploring every medical avenue, the Dickson family made the painful decision to let Carson go. In a subsequent announcement, they shared, “We are releasing our sweet girl to Jesus. We have exhausted all medical intervention and left no stone unturned for her. Through so much prayer, we know Carson is ready to go home. We have appreciated the outpouring of love & support more than you know. She will remain on life support through Saturday at 2pm.”
