Kristina Folkerts Park Tavern Accident – As a result of what the proprietor of Park Tavern described as a “horrific” deadly patio accident that occurred on Sunday evening, a hospital staff and a waiter were killed, and four other people were injured.
A man drove into the parking lot of the St. Louis Park establishment at approximately eight o’clock in the evening. After making an attempt to park his vehicle, he drove it into the patio area that was located outside.
Phil Weber, the proprietor of Park Tavern, stated that Kristina Folkerts, a thirty-year-old employee who was also a mother of three children, was one of the victims who passed away because of the incident.
It has been confirmed by Methodist Hospital that one of their staff passed away as a result of this accident, and that four nurses were injured. He was identified as Gabe Harvey, a Health Unit Coordinator at Methodist Hospital.
The driver, who was described by city officials as a male from St. Louis Park who was 56 years old, was taken into custody on suspicion of involvement in a criminal vehicular homicide. For the time being, he has not been formally charged. It is stated by Weber that Folkerts was a Park Tavern server of the second generation.

He claims that they have established a GoFundMe account in order to assist her family, and as of early Tuesday evening, the account had already raised about $90,238. During the time that the team is working through this loss and putting the pieces back together, Park Tavern will remain closed until further notice.
