Peter Linkletter, a resident of Ottawa, Ontario, and former 20th Century Boys band member and Vice-Chair of Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation has passed away. He was confirmed dead through a social media statement that reads:
“So very sad today on the news that our dear friend and bandmate, the wonderful Peter Linkletter, was tragically killed in an accident earlier this week. Peter was a wonderful human, a light in the lives of everyone he touched.”
Who was Peter Linkletter?
Peter Linkletter was a wonderful human, a light in the lives of everyone he touched. A dedicated and inspired public servant, Peter had an early career as a professional musician, Keyboardist and Vocalist touring North America with the Twentieth Century Boys Charity Rock and Blues Band.
He was a proud cancer survivor and a great community leader, chairing the Board of Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, among many other important contributions. Peter lead the band to many great events in support of those causes.
He was an all around good guy and proud dad. He was the Vice-President and Board Member of Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) from 2001 to 2009 and Vice Chair Board Of Directors at OSCRE International from 2005 to 2009.
Peter was a President Of The Board Of Directors at OMS Montessori from 2013 to 2014 and a Chair, Past-Chair, Vice-Chair of Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation from 2005 to 2015. He served as a Federal Public Service Executive Champion at Positive Space Initiative from 2015 to 2022 and currently as a President of the Board of Directors at St. Mary’s Home.
