Authorities responded to a call at the 700 block of Bluff City Boulevard in Elgin at around 1 a.m. on December 9, where they discovered Dreanna Booker’s body, with multiple stab wounds.

Investigators quickly took Pierre French, 36, into custody. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is currently held at the Kane County Jail. French is scheduled to appear in court on December 18, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Kane County Judicial Center.
