A fundraiser was organized by Agness Balde to help raise funds for the family to travel to Switzerland for the funeral, as the family members face financial hardship.
The campaign states that the family is hoping to gather enough money to bring them to Switzerland before Tuesday, December 10, 2024, so they can say their final goodbyes to Farah.
As of today, the campaign has raised CHF577 from 26 donations, with contributors expressing deep sympathy and support for the grieving family.
“I don’t like to come up here and beg for money, but I’m in a situation where I unfortunately lost my mom a day ago and I’m trying to get there before Tuesday,” the organizer shared on the fundraising page.
Many friends and community members have left heartfelt comments, offering their condolences, with one donor, Kevin Rosales, contributing CHF100.
