Jakub Skiba Lemont IL – Jakub Szymon Skiba Death: A 19-year-old Lockport High School graduate has been identified as the victim who passed away in a tragic crash on Tuesday.
The deadly incident happened around 1:46 P.M. According to investigators, the motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Lisle.
At 1:46 p.m., police responded to a crash between a motorbike and an SUV on Yackley and Burlington avenues. The man riding the motorcycle was discovered unresponsive, and the SUV was parked on a curb.
According to a police press release, witnesses reported that the biker was traveling south on Yackley “at a high rate of speed” when the SUV turned left onto Burlington, directly into its path.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene. Police said the female driver of the SUV was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for observation. Anyone who observed the crash can phone police at (630) 271-4200.
The DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team’s collision reconstruction team is aiding in the investigation. The Volunteers 4 Lisle Emergency Management Agency crew handled traffic management.
