Johnny Medina Manhattan Death – Well-known musician and fashionista Johnny Medina has tragically passed away.
Police announced on Saturday that a 24-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with the deadly stabbing of at the Manhattan subway station.
In connection with the attack on 40-year-old Johnny Medina near the turnstiles at the 175th St. A train subway station in Washington Heights on Friday at approximately 5:55 p.m., Diego Figueroa-Hepner is charged with murder and possession of firearms.
What happened to Johnny Medina?
Authorities indicated that the two males were acquainted. According to police, there was a “dispute that escalated” before the homicide. Before the two entered the station, witnesses claimed to have seen them fighting outside the J. Hood Wright Park restrooms.
Figueroa-Hepner, according to police, brandished a knife when they got to the mezzanine and pounced at Medina, repeatedly stabbing him in the neck and chest.
The man was reportedly in cardiac arrest when EMS took him to Harlem Hospital, but he was not going to survive. According to police sources, Figueroa-Hepner’s leg sustained a serious cut during the altercation. Doctors at a nearby hospital saw him and phoned the police, who brought him in to question him.

Johnny Medina was a popular musician and fashion enthusiast known as “J McFly” in the community, according to sources. Johnny Medina was the 1st place winner in the United States Savings Bond Division’s 3rd Annual National Student Poster Contest.
Senator Paterson was especially proud of Johnny because he was the first Manhattan resident ever to win. A Legislative Resolution was passed on March 22, 1994, honoring young Johnny Medina.
