The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office issued an alert on Thursday, January 11, following the family’s unsuccessful attempts to locate him at his residence in Flatwoods.
According to information released by the Sheriff’s Office, it appears that Bates succumbed to adverse weather conditions in a wooded area near his home. The discovery was made approximately 3/4 of a mile from his residence.
