Update concerning Kathleen Scott
An accident involving a single vehicle that took place early on Monday morning in Franklin County, Indiana, resulted in the death of a woman from Cincinnati. The collision took place in Cedar Grove at the crossroads of State Road 1 and United States Highway 52 between the two roads.
As stated by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Kathleen Scott, who was 21 years old at the time, was operating a 2016 Buick SUV in the direction of northbound traffic on State Road 1 when she failed to come to a stop at the junction for another “unknown reason.”
It was because of this that the SUV went off of United States Highway 52 and flipped over, according to the sheriff’s department’s web post. Following the incident, the Franklin County Coroner’s Office determined that Scott had suffered fatal injuries and pronounced him dead at the site.
During the three hours that crews were working to clean up the area and collect evidence, the accident caused the United States Highway 52 to be closed. Currently, the investigation into what caused the crash is still ongoing.
