Lauren Tvardzik Death – Lauren Alexandra Tvardzik of Stratford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14th with her loving family by her side. She was 33 years old at the time of her death. She was announced dead by the Fairfield University School of Education & Human Development in a social media post that read “It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Lauren Tvardzik, a graduate student pursuing a degree in our Marriage and Family Therapy program.”
Who was Lauren Tvardzik?
Born in Bridgeport on August 24, 1990. Lauren Alexandra Tvardzik was the daughter of JoAnn Betts of Shelton, and Paul Tvardzik also of Shelton. Lauren spent a significant portion of her life attending services at Holy Transfiguration Church in New Haven, where she was christened. She joined the choir at St. Dimitri Orthodox Church in Easton in recent years after moving there.
Lauren played tennis, track and field, and softball in a Shelton softball league while attending and graduating from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield. She received her bachelor’s degree in history from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. Lauren also holds a master’s degree in Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University. She was really happy to help people, especially kids. Lauren was an exceptional student who attained good grades.
She was awarded a medallion and “honor cords” for her outstanding academic performance. She cherished her time spent with her dog, Onyx, and loved him unconditionally. Lauren was concerned about her health and loved being active. She was an extremely lovely person and everyone who knew her liked her in return. She had many friends whom she loved to spend time with. Lauren has a generous heart and a constant desire to help people.

A Visitation for Lauren will take place on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 2- 4 p.m. at Holy Transfiguration Russian Orthodox Church 285 Alden Avenue New Haven, with a Panakida (prayer service) at 3p.m. A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, January 22nd at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford
