For over 18 years, she shared a deep and abiding love with her husband, Justin, and their daughters, Muriel and Natalie, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Leslie’s dedication to her children knew no bounds, and she took great delight in nurturing their interests, particularly skiing and soccer, ensuring their happiness and fulfillment.
Leslie’s vibrant spirit illuminated every room she entered, her infectious laughter and witty anecdotes leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. With an innate sense of style and flair, she effortlessly captivated attention wherever she went, her discerning taste extending to fine dining and wine appreciation.
A consummate hostess, Leslie delighted in bringing loved ones together over home-cooked meals at her Highland Heights residence, showcasing her culinary talents and creating cherished memories. An avid knitter, she lovingly crafted beautiful hats to keep her family warm, a reflection of her nurturing nature and creative spirit.
From a young age, Leslie harbored a deep affection for animals, finding solace in horseback riding and nurturing numerous cats and guinea pigs throughout her life. Her love for travel and exploration knew no bounds, with St. Maarten holding a special place in her heart, where she reveled in the beauty of its beaches alongside her beloved family.
Leslie’s expansive circle of friends held her in high esteem, drawn to her empathetic nature, sage advice, and infectious zest for life. She is survived by her beloved husband, Justin, two cherished daughters, Muriel and Natalie; her mother, Janet Stern; sisters Julie Brandon and Lynn Stern; brother David Stern (Mana); in-laws Jonathan Gastel (Susan) and Tom Gastel; and Nancy Gastel. She also leaves behind adored nieces and nephews: Robert Brandon, Jr; Helen Stern; Elsa Stern; Dylan Gastel, Dennis Gastel, and Amanda Gastel.
Funeral Services
Funeral Services will be held on WEDNESDAY, February 7, 2024, at 12 Noon in The Main Sanctuary at Temple Beth El (139 Winton Road South). CLICK HERE for a map to Temple.
