Lisa Lopez-Galvan Death, Mom of 2 dead in Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade shooting
Lisa Lopez-Galvan Death – A mother of two children is reportedly dead following Wednesday’s shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade, according to the Kansas City Star.
Lisa Lopez-Galvan, who is also a beloved disc jokey, suffered a fatal gunshot to the abdomen, per the report.
At least 22 people have been confirmed shot and one dead during the end stage of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, officials announced.
A third person has also been detained.
Several children have also reportedly been injured with one report noting that 12 patients were transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital – 11 of them being kids and nine suffering from gunshot wounds.
“We are truly saddened by the senseless act of violence that occurred outside of Union Station at the conclusion of today’s parade and rally,” the statement begins. “Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and all of Kansas City.”
” We are in close communication with the Mayor’s office as well as the Kansas City Police Department,” the team said. “At this time, we have confirmed that all of our players, coaches, staff and their families are safe and accounted for.
“We thank the local law enforcement officers and first responders who were on-scene to assist.”
The NFL addressed the deadly shooting in Kansas City on Wednesday at occurred at the end of the parade celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win.
“We are deeply saddened by the senseless shooting that occurred today near the end of the rally in Kansas City for the Chiefs. Our thoughts are with the victims and everyone affected,” the league said in a statement, per X.
“We are grateful for the quick and thorough response of law enforcement and emergency personnel.”
