Lukas Schreiber Student at West Hartford’s William H. Hall High School died by suicide

Lukas Schreiber Student at West Hartford’s Death: An athletic student at the prominent West Hartford, CT’s William H. Hall High School tragically passed away on Friday.

Lukas Schreiber was a brilliant student and a great swimmer at the William H. Hall High School at 975 N Main St, West Hartford, CT. Lukas ended it all on Friday, 9 August 2024, after a battle with mental illness.

Lukas was a reputable senior at West Hartford’s Hall High School. He was expected to graduate in 2025. William H. Hall High School has stated that counselors and crisis response teams will be available to everyone affected by Lukas’s death.

Lukas Schreiber was an honor student who also swam and played lacrosse, and was starting his final year at Hall. According to reports, Lukas was found dead in an apparent suicide.

“The loss of a child is unimaginable, and our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the Schreiber family, their friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” the superintendent, Paul Vicinus, stated. He expressed his sadness for family and friends as they dealt with this unfathomable loss.

On Saturday, the administration sent a message to the Hall community offering regrets and sorrow, as well as information on available support resources. “As parents, we cannot begin to comprehend the terrible anguish the family is experiencing, and we know that you and our entire community share in this sadness and loss. “Since receiving the news, we have initiated a crisis team response,” the message to the Hall community says.

The Bridge Family Center clinicians will be available at Hall on the dates and hours listed below.

  • Sunday, August 11, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • Monday, August 12 through Wednesday, August 14, 10 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
  • The therapists will “provide support, comfort, and reassurance to our students and staff as we deal with this enormous loss and grief as a community.” Clinicians will also be available at Hall when the school year begins for anyone who requires aid in dealing with this loss.

    “In the days and weeks ahead, students may have questions and concerns relating to death or may struggle with coping with a loss.” The resources below provide families with information that they may find beneficial, and those who require extra information or support should contact Hall High School at 860-232-4561.
