Majeda Kassem Death: The four women who passed away in a domestic-related shooting in Tinley Park, Illinois have been identified as a mother and her three daughters. 53-year-old Majeda Kassem was shot and killed by her husband Maher Kassem at their home Sunday morning.
Law enforcement is aggressively investigating an incident in which four adult women, including a mother and three daughters, were found fatally shot inside a Tinley Park home on Sunday morning. The terrible finding happened around 11:30 a.m. on the 7400 block of 173rd Place. Pat Carr, Village Manager, said that police have one male suspect in custody.
At 11:20 a.m., law enforcement got a 911 call from a guy on the scene reporting a shooting inside the home, according to Carr during a press conference on Sunday afternoon. The suspect identified locally as Maher Kassem was taken into custody following the incident. A male suspect was caught at the scene, however, it is unclear whether he was the person who placed the emergency call. A weapon has been recovered.
As of Sunday afternoon, the gunman was been identified as the father of the three children and Majeda’s spouse. Carr also stated that there is no record of past police calls to the property. Carr remarked, “We understand that this incidence was limited to this residence. The person was apprehended at the apartment. The situation is under control. There is now only one suspect, and we are assured that the surrounding community is safe. Authorities are encouraging residents to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
