“We have lost our perfect and dear friend Matthew Redden. My heart aches and I am still in shock. We both moved to Lansing at about the same time, and were introduced by our mutual friend Kendra when she brought him to a Pride Party Steven and I hosted at the house. We became instant friends. We really supported one another in finding our way here, our new home. I feel like part of me has been cut off. He took me to an exercise class with him once. He ran like a gazelle, barely breaking a sweat. I on the other hand, had to leave the room and almost got sick. How does someone so young and fit die unexpectedly? I am devastated and heartbroken. Not only for myself, but for his wonderful family who were so important to him. Everyone loved him. He was everything good in the world. I love you dear Matthew Redden, you were absolutely incredible,” a heartbroken friend wrote.
Matthew was 41. The family has not created any fundraising account at this time.
Feel free to leave a message of condolences and prayers for the family and friends of the deceased in the comments section as it will go a long way for them during this difficult time.
