Missing plane crashed in Florida Everglades near Alligator Alley left 2 dead
Rescue teams in Broward County discovered a small plane on Wednesday that had crashed in the Florida Everglades near Alligator Alley, revealing two fatalities in the wreckage.
The Missing plane crashed site was identified near mile marker 28, approximately four miles west of U.S. 27, where the plane had ignited.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue officials reported that the Cessna Skyhawk went missing around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday and seemed to be airborne for about 15 minutes before disappearing.
The pilot was subsequently reported missing.
A spokesperson from BSFR mentioned that crews were monitoring the situation without actively engaging in firefighting efforts for the small blaze.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the National Transportation Safety Board would conduct an investigation into the crash.
