Motorcycle Accident in Tyler TX: 2 motorcyclist died at ESD2, October 23

Motorcycle Accident in Tyler, Texas: A white SUV and a black motorcycle were involved in an accident that occurred near the 18900BLK of FM 756 (near CR 129) at approximately 12:45 PM this afternoon.

The Smith County Emergency Services Department (ESD2)’s Engine 151, Brush 151 Engine 156, UT Health EMS Units 803, 812, and 401, as well as DPS State Troopers, were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

Both vehicles sustained injuries. Chief 3, Chief 4, Battalion Chief 1, and Captain 1 were among the additional SCESD2 units who responded to the incident. Quickly upon their arrival, first responders quickly began providing patients involved with care that might potentially save their lives.

A pair of high-priority patients were transported to local hospitals in Tyler by emergency medical services crews from UT Health, with the support of firefighters from SCESD2.

The tragic news is that both of the riders on the motorcycle have passed tragically earlier today. DPS is presently conducting an investigation into the accident; additional information is currently unknown. As the Department of Public Safety completes their investigation, additional information will be made public.
