Myrtle Beach Drowning Investigations: Several law enforcement agencies in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are responding to multiple drowning reports at a beach on Saturday.
Authorities say three persons drowned at the pool deck of Coral Beach on Saturday. A child and two others were missing at a beach, according to the North Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Police and multiple water rescues were called to the resort for a missing child report. Police said two others who attempted to save a drowning child were reported missing. Water rescues responded to the scene as officials worked to locate the three individuals.
According to the PD, two drowning victims were located minutes later with the assistance of the US Coast Guard. One victim remains missing in the waters. The tragic incident happened just before 6:50 P.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Multiple ambulances, police vehicles, and water rescues responded to the incident just off the pool deck of Coral Beach on 12th Ave. Law enforcement agencies say the location is closed due to the investigations. The rescued victims were examined at the scene by EMS. Their condition is not known.
