Nathan Morris Canton MI Death – A man, aged 35, passed away in Saturday’s tragic shooting in Canton Township.

The victim has been identified as Nathan Morris. Nathan Morris, a Republican cop from Wayne County, reportedly died from gunshot wounds.

After Morris sent his daughter home from playing on Cornell Street, she was shot during a shooting that happened nearby. It was alleged that a neighbor shot himself after becoming enraged because Nathan Morris’s daughter had touched his mulch.

Morris died at a local hospital after police found him bleeding on the street. Following an initial period of seclusion in his home, the neighbor voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement and is currently being held in detention.

Morris was active in the community and sought election to the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools board of education in addition to his career as an engineer for Ford Motors. Only Becky, his wife, and their two young children, Molly and Zoey, will bear his memory.

Canton Township is a charter township in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A western suburb of Detroit, Canton is located roughly 23 miles west of downtown Detroit, and 15 miles east of Ann Arbor.
