Law enforcement agencies were called to the school for a shooting threat eports. In September 2022, the school was also placed on lockdown for a similar shooting threat claim.

No credible threat was found, Principal Stephanie Hood said in a separate email to North Meck families. School officials “applaud any student who speaks up and reports anything potentially dangerous,”

Hood said. “We apologize for any delay in dismissal as the investigation was conducted.” CMS installed body scanners at its 21 traditional high schools during the last academic year, and the district is placing them in middle and K-8 schools this year.
