OPRF Investigations: Students freaking out, lockdown at Oak Park and River Forest High School in Oak Park, Illinois
Oak Park and River Forest High School Shooting Threat Investigations: Police in Oak Park, Illinois are on the scene of an active investigation at Oak Park and River Forest High School campus Wednesday.
According to reports, a threat to shoot up the school at 11 a.m. was received earlier today. Out of an abundance of caution, multiple units have been dispatched to the scene for investigations. Students who reached out to their parents/guardians alleged that heavily armed policemen were at the entrance of the school campus following the threat.
At the time of this publication, law enforcement agencies has not released any further details in connection to the incident. The incident is happening at the Oak Park and River Forest High School located at 201 N Scoville Ave, Oak Park, IL.

Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF) is a public secondary educational institution situated in Oak Park, a suburban area of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is the sole educational institution within the boundaries of Oak Park and River Forest District 200. The school was established in 1871, and the present school building was inaugurated in 1907. The crest of the school is comprised of a shield that is separated into three distinct pieces. The upper left portion illustrates an acorn nestled within the foliage of an oak tree.
The lower part of the image features undulating horizontal lines, evoking the image of a meandering river. In addition, there are school-sponsored medium-sized groups, including a Madrigals group and a show choir. In addition, the institution offers a concert band, symphonic band, wind symphony, wind ensemble, two concert orchestras, and a symphony orchestra.
