Pamela Trostle Crash Death: Woman, 65, dies in southern Indiana crash involving 2 other vehicles
A woman was killed in a crash in Harrison County Tuesday morning, according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
Around 11 a.m., deputies responded to a crash involving three vehicles at Highway 135 and Lopp Circle Road in Mauckport.
Police say that 65-year-old Pamela Trostle died in the crash after striking another vehicle head-on.
The couple in one of the involved vehicles told them they were traveling south on 135 when they saw the SUV Trostle was driving cross into their lane.
The driver said he had to drive into the guardrail to avoid a head-on collision.
The SUV hit the truck behind them head-on, however.
That truck’s driver said he tried to hit his brakes and get over, but the SUV was too close to avoid the collision.
That driver was taken to the hospital for some leg and back pain.
Police did not say anything about why Trestle may have crossed over into oncoming traffic.
