Parker Young Lubbock TX Crime = On Saturday night, a serious traffic accident involving the Abilene Christian University (ACU) football team bus occurred in Lubbock, Texas, resulting in injuries to four individuals.

The incident, which took place at the intersection of the Marsha Sharp Freeway frontage road and University Avenue, has drawn significant attention, particularly due to the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Parker Young, a 19-year-old resident of Lubbock, was identified as the driver responsible for the crash. Authorities report that Young disregarded traffic directions, leading to the collision.

The ACU football team was returning to Abilene after a challenging and emotionally draining game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The game, which extended into overtime, ended in a narrow 52-51 loss for ACU. The mood on the bus was already somber as the team grappled with the defeat, only to be further shaken by the unexpected accident.

According to witnesses and initial police reports, Young’s vehicle collided with the bus at the intersection, sending the bus off course and into another vehicle. The force of the impact was significant enough to injure four people onboard the bus.

Among the injured were one student-athlete, two ACU coaches, and the bus driver. All four were transported to a local hospital in Lubbock for treatment, though their injuries were reported to be minor. They have since been released, but the incident has left the university community rattled.
