Raven Francis New Orleans Death – The New Orleans community was shaken late Monday night by a violent incident that claimed the life of 29-year-old Raven Francis and left four other women injured.
The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is currently investigating the tragic event, which unfolded in the Mid-City neighborhood and has left a deep sense of grief and concern among residents.
The shooting took place in the 4100 block of South Carrollton Avenue, near a popular area frequented by both locals and visitors. According to NOPD reports, the incident began with a physical altercation between two groups at a local business. The confrontation quickly escalated, and as one group attempted to leave the scene in their vehicle, an unknown assailant opened fire.
The vehicle, struck multiple times by gunfire, lost control and ultimately crashed into a fire hydrant before flipping over at the intersection of South Solomon Street and Baudin Street. The scene that followed was one of chaos and terror, as first responders arrived to find the car overturned and its occupants severely injured.

On Saturday evening, August 31, 2024, a shooting near the Michigan State Fair in Novi, Michigan, claimed the life of 14-year-old Darean Marty and left another 14-year-old boy injured.
The shooting, which occurred at approximately 9:56 p.m., has sent shockwaves through the community and raised concerns about safety and youth violence at large public events.
The tragic event unfolded when police officers, who were stationed at the Michigan State Fair, heard gunshots coming from a nearby parking lot. Responding immediately, they, along with multiple law enforcement agencies, rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found two teenage boys suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were quickly transported to a local hospital. Sadly, Darean Marty succumbed to his injuries, while the other boy, whose identity has not been released, is currently in stable condition and receiving treatment.
