Reggie Hunter Death – Reggie Hunter, a 37-year-old father of two from Baton Rouge, tragically lost his life in the early hours of New Year’s Day during a suspected terrorist attack on Bourbon Street.
Hunter, described by his family as a hardworking and devoted father, had finished his shift at work and decided on a whim to join his cousin on Bourbon Street to celebrate the New Year. What should have been a night of joy turned into a devastating tragedy.
At approximately 3:15 a.m., a truck was driven at high speed through a crowd on Bourbon Street, leaving a trail of death and destruction. Reggie succumbed to his injuries, while his cousin was among the 35 others injured in the horrific attack.
“He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time,” said Shirell Jackson, Hunter’s first cousin. “We’re heartbroken. Reggie was a good man, a loving father, and didn’t deserve this.”
The incident, which claimed the lives of ten people, has sent shockwaves through the nation. As authorities continue their investigation, Hunter’s family is left grappling with an irreplaceable loss, mourning the father, relative, and friend who was taken far too soon.
