Rodney Riviello Missing – A body has been found following a search for the missing Manomet father. Rodney Riviello, 69, of Plymouth was declared missing on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

He was last seen at 11:15 a.m. outside Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, where he had been discharged after a fall. Riviello went without his wallet or ID, despite staff efforts to organize transportation.

Despite having memory problems and impaired problem-solving abilities, he has not been diagnosed with dementia. His son reports that his cognitive status has suddenly deteriorated.

Police and volunteers conducted extensive searches but found no results. A significant lead is a silver or gray automobile, likely a Hyundai Elantra, sighted near the hospital around 11:30 a.m.

Witnesses reported seeing an elderly man, possibly Riviello, interacting with the car’s passengers. The family is offering a $5,000 prize for information that leads to his safe return. Riviello may have links in Provincetown, Boxborough, Clyde (NY), and Brooklyn.

According to Rodney Riviello’s son Dan, Rodney Riviello worked as a meat cutter in a supermarket in upstate New York before relocating here with his wife, Julie, some 18 months ago.

He suffered a few mini-strokes, and his problem-solving abilities were impaired. A construction worker discovered Rodney after he had fallen and carried him to the Manomet fire station. He was then transferred to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.

However, neither Emergency Medical Services nor the hospital have presented a detailed account of what transpired next. Rodney’s medical records showed a cracked nose and bruising on his skull, according to Dan.

A CT scan revealed brain abnormalities that could indicate cognitive impairments. Rodney left the hospital about 11 a.m., and he has not been caught on any cameras in the neighborhood.
