Sarah Glad of Raleigh NC, Program Officer at John William Pope Foundation has gone to grave
Sarah Glad Death – Sarah Glad, a resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, and the Program Officer at John William Pope Foundation passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was announced dead through a social media publication that read “For all of my NC State Delta Zeta’s, we lost a special soul yesterday in Sarah Lindh Glad. Please join me in thoughts and prayers for her family and loved ones.”
Who was Sarah Glad?
Sarah Lindh Glad, born March 31, 1988 was the beloved daughter of father Ellen Lindh and a graduate of NC State University. Sarah joined the Pope Foundation in June 2021. As a program officer, she is involved in many areas of the foundation’s giving including public interest law and legal studies, higher education, and human services. Before joining the Foundation, Sarah served under North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory, Treasurer Dale Folwell, and state senator Chuck Edwards in public affairs and policy roles.
Sarah also helped launch North Carolina’s first and only statewide newspaper, North State Journal, as communications director. She is a 2020-2021 E.A. Morris Fellow at the John Locke Foundation. A High Point native, Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in liberal studies from NC State University. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Robbie, and their son. She was a beautiful and precious daughter just like her Mom. She was a bright light and put up an awesome fight. Her light will continue to shine.
Tribute to Sarah Glad
Steven Schlink took to social media and share his sadness in a statement that read “This is heartbreaking. Sarah was one of those people that always had a smile and something kind to say. When I worked at the GA, stopping by her office to say hello was the highlight of my day! She will be so missed. Jessica said it best, we are all better because we knew Sarah.”
Kristin Argote wrote “Oh my goodness this just breaks my heart some things I’ll never understand. Sarah’s energy and smile were awe inspiring and she was one of my best friends through school at HPC and we continued to keep in touch as moms via Facebook. I have no words for her family, husband, and baby boy.” Kristin added that “I love you Sarah Glad, I wouldn’t have made it through high school without you girl. Literally another one gone too soon, and an amazing sweet soul. I’ll wear a Lily Pulitzer this week and think of you my fashion forward friend . Calling all my high point central alumni, we gotta show love for this gem.”
Sarah Glad’s Memorial Service
A Memorial Service will be this Thursday, January 25th, 2024 at 7pm for Sarah Lindh Glad at CrossPointe Community Church Knightdale 1001 Steeple Square Ct, Knightdale, NC 27545. Sarah has requested bright colors only.
