Sauble Beach Drowning: The Ontario Provincial Police and Ambulance were called to the scene of a drowning accident at the seashore on South Bruce Peninsula, Bruce County, in the northern area of southwestern Ontario.
Reports said a man was pulled out of the waters on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, following a swimming accident. The Sauble Beach was closed to the public during the investigation.
Law enforcement said the identity of the victim is pending next of kins notification.

A Toronto man died after being plucked from the sea at Sauble Beach over the long weekend.
Police reported a person went missing in the ocean at Sauble Beach just after 8 p.m. Saturday, prompting an emergency response to Lakeshore Boulevard near Main Street. Troy Cupid, 20, of Toronto, was retrieved from the water without any vital signs, according to police. He was pronounced dead in the hospital.
The weekend drowning is the eighth in the OPP’s western region, which includes southwestern Ontario. Most recently, a 38-year-old Toronto man drowned in Kincardine on Thursday after leaping into the sea to save two youths who had been carried off the pier.
