The body of a woman with several gunshot wounds was found along Flat Rock Road, and the Columbus Police Department is looking into the homicide. The female was discovered in a ditch next to a house on Fieldstone Court in the 5900 block of Flat Rock Road, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said.
Around eight in the morning on Sunday, the female was declared dead. Shacoyta Baker, age 36, has been identified as the female. At around 2:00 pm, our on-scene crews reported witnessing a man suspect being placed in the back of a patrol car by the CPD SWAT squad.
