He passed away today, Saturday, September 28, 2024, according to posts on social media. Shane Gage, a firefighter from Copper Canyon, passed away on September 27, 2024.
Gage leaves behind his parents, Ron and Tammy, as well as his wife of eight years, Allie, and daughter, Sophie. There has been no disclosure on Shane’s death circumstances. His family is in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time.
About Shane Gage
Gage, a dedicated resident of Prescott Valley, became a valued member of the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CCFMA) in January 2017. Before joining CCFMA, he proudly served with the Sedona Verde Valley Fire Fighters Association Local 3690, where he made a significant impact on his community and his fellow firefighters.
Shane was not just an outstanding firefighter; he was an incredible friend to many. His commitment to his work and the camaraderie he fostered among his peers truly set him apart. Those who had the privilege of working alongside him knew that he brought a sense of unwavering support and encouragement, always willing to lend a hand or offer a listening ear.
The honor of working with Shane was felt deeply by all who knew him. He embodied the spirit of brotherhood within the fire service, creating lasting bonds that extended beyond the firehouse. His legacy of service, friendship, and dedication will always be remembered, and he will be sorely missed by his colleagues and the community he served so faithfully.

Community members and first responders from across the Verde Valley have joined the members of the Copper Canyon Fire & Medical Authority in grief this morning, shocked by the sudden loss of Copper Canyon fire fighter Shane Gage on September 27, 2024.
Gage is survived by his wife of eight years, Allie, his daughter, Sophie, and his parents Ron and Tammy. The circumstances of Shane’s death have not been disclosed. We ask that the privacy of Shane’s loved ones and his co-workers please be respected amid such a difficult time… see more.
