Tam McLaughlan Death: We wish to express our deepest condolences to the McLaughlan family on the demise of our dearly loved committee member, Tam McLaughlan, who passed away over the weekend while on vacation in Benidorm.
The commitment and spirit that Tam possessed were the driving forces behind our club, which he proudly served for more than half a century.
Tam was not only a familiar face for many of us, but he was also the first person we saw when we arrived at our home games. He manned the gate with pride and strong commitment, and he met each of us with a warm greeting.
Tam has become an indispensable component of our club’s identity over the course of several decades. Because to his tireless contributions, his upbeat attitude, and his true love for the game and the community that it generated, he garnered a level of respect that was unparalleled.
The passion that Tam displayed was a fundamental component of the club, and his presence offered a sense of comfort and familiarity to all parties involved, including players, supporters, and fellow committee members. His disappearance creates a hole that will be keenly felt by all those individuals who had the exceptional opportunity to be acquainted with him.
During this trying time, we want to express our deepest sympathies and thoughts to Tam’s cherished wife, Agnes, as well as to his son, Andy, and the rest of the McLaughlan family. The innumerable people that Tam impacted and the legacy of kindness and dedication that he leaves behind are both things that we hope will provide them some measure of comfort.
In remembrance of Tam, the club will pay our respects to him during the home encounter against Glasgow United that will take place on Saturday. There will be an opportunity to ponder his enormous achievements and the myriad of ways in which he influenced the direction of our club. We would like to extend an invitation to all of our members and fans to join us in celebrating Tam’s life and dedication. Tam, may you finally rest in peace. Everyone here will miss having you around.
