Tate and Evie Porter Gilbert AZ Death: 9 & 11 siblings died in Arizona 202 car accident – GoFundMe

Tate and Evie Porter of Gilbert, Arizona, who were two siblings have tragically died. Today, October 23, 2024, a sad car accident took the lives of Tate and Evie, who were 9 and 11 years old respectively. They were killed on the 202 freeway in Arizona.

In a Facebook post the following statements was made, “Tragically, this sweet family lost two of their children today, Tate and Evie, ages 9 and 11, in a tragic car accident on the 202 in Arizona.

One of their surviving children is in remission from a battle with cancer and as soon as they were able during that journey, they turned around and began helping others struggling with cancer. This family needs us now more than ever. If you can help financially, great.”

A collision involving four vehicles occurred on Wednesday along the westbound Loop 202 near McKellips Road in Mesa, Arizona, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The collision resulted in the deaths of two children.

The deceased children were identified as a boy who was nine years old and a girl who was eleven years old. The family later determined that the children were Tate Porter and Evie Porter.

During the collision, the children were being transported by their mother in a pickup truck while they were travelling on the freeway. It was determined by social media that her name was Dani Hancock Porter. Her pickup truck was involved in a collision with a flatbed tow truck on the right shoulder of the expressway in the left rear, which resulted in the right side of the pickup truck being broken off.

In a statement, the Arizona Department of Public Safety provided the following information: “The force of the impact tore off the right side of the pickup, resulting in the deaths of a male who was 9 years old and a female who was 11 years old.” Seatbelts were worn by both of the children.

A young boy of six years old sustained some minor injuries. The mother of the children who passed away, who was driving, sustained injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. It was also stated in the announcement that she will not be facing any criminal charges. She is believed to have been distracted while driving by the children who were present in the vehicle, according to the authorities.

A GoFundMe has been Organized by Roxie Heussner in honor of the deceased to assist the family a sibling of theirs that is currently battling cancer. The goal of this GoFundMe is aimed at $20,000 and $120,000 has already been realized.
