Tennessee Endangered Child Alert: Police search for Aki-Bakari Warren, Amena Hood, and Amirr Warren after disappearance with non-custodial father

Tennessee Endangered Child Alert – In a significant update to a previously published endangered kid notice, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) published a photo of 5-year-old Amirr Warren on August 23, 2024, at 11:15 a.m.

The search for three missing children from Knoxville, Tennessee, is still underway. The three children, aged twelve years old Aki-Bakari Warren, eight years old Amena Hood, and five years old Amirr Warren, were reported missing and are thought to be with their father, Aki Warren, who is not in custody, forty-three years old.

The Knoxville Police Department and TBI are desperately requesting the public’s help in finding the missing children as worries for their safety are mounting and police are unable to get in touch with Warren.

The TBI initially sent out the alert on behalf of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD), which has been searching for the kids nonstop. The complicated custody disputes between Aki-Bakari, Amena, and Amirr’s father and their custodial parent have led to serious worries about the children’s safety being raised by this circumstance.

The longer it goes without hearing anything new regarding the children’s whereabouts, the more urgent the hunt has become due to the authorities’ inability to get in touch with Warren.

The case started when the custodial parent reported the children missing following the failure of a scheduled custody exchange. Aki Warren, the non-custodial father, was permitted to visit the children but not to have primary custody.

This scenario, which is all too often in custody proceedings, highlights the challenges that families may encounter when parental rights and obligations are disputed. Sadly, what started off as a straightforward custody swap has now turned into a nationwide warning and a possible kidnapping case, shocking everyone in Knoxville.
