Thi Trang DO Vaughan ON Death – Following a midday shooting at a home in Vaughan, Ontario, on Friday, police say that one individual has been apprehended and that a lady and toddler are now officially deceased.
York Regional Police stated early on Saturday morning that the second of the four victims of the incident on Case Nova Drive had passed away. Officers were called to a house on Casa Nova Drive, west of Weston and Davos roads, just before nine in the morning, in response to gunfire.
Four victims were discovered inside the house by the police, two of whom had injuries that may have killed them, according to York Regional Police Const. Lisa Moskaluk on Friday.
Three of the victims were rushed to the hospital, but one victim passed away right away. The other victim would subsequently pass away. The woman and boy who were slain have now been identified as Thi Trang DO, 40, and Marcus VU, 2, both of Vaughan.
The other two victims, according to police, are in stable condition. According to early signs, this incident is isolated and targeted, and there isn’t a direct risk to the public, Moskaluk stated on Friday.
Two accusations of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder have been brought against 41-year-old Toronto resident Van Viet Duong. Police said they think the victims knew the accused and that the gunshot was intended to attack them.
Investigators will be looking into any previous events that may have occurred at the house or in the neighborhood, Moskaluk said on Friday. According to her, they will attempt to piece together that information in order to ascertain the reason behind the targeting of these individuals today.
Anyone with information or who was in the vicinity and hasn’t contacted police yet is being urged by the police to come forward.
